February 2, 2018 --------------------------------------------------------------- I recently picked up a Pilot Plumix as a beater pen to use at work. After about two weeks of use, my opinion is that this is tolerable, but not a favorite. The body is plastic, and feels cheap. It doesn't look bad (not quite as nice as the Penmanship IMO, but it's visually ok). My biggest complaint is that the cap squeaks when being screwed on and off. This has improved a little over the weeks I've had it, but remains a frustration. It uses Pilot's proprietary cartridges (or a converter), which I'm ok with. It appears to have no body openings, so might be adaptable as an eyedropper. (I'll test this sometime soon). The nib is nice. It's an italic, around 1mm in physical width. It writes a decent line. A little dry, but not bad - if not writing quickly. There's a little line variation, though I'd be willing sacrifice this if it was a touch wetter. On the whole, it's acceptable, but I doubt it'll last in my rotation for long (I'll likely gift it to one of my kids). ---------------------------------------------------------------
